Train Santa Barbara Concert reviews
Great Show
Train was great; high energy and good sound mix. First few rows of venue were extremely hot, like a sauna. There is never enough cool air circulating at the venue in summer. People were literally sweating through their clothes like they were sitting in a sauna. Not nearly the number of people typically attending a summer concert. I heard final count was 3-4k, instead of 15-20k. Train's popularity and lack of air play is probably waning. Blues Traveler was one of opening acts and sounded great. Jewel was another and while much of the crowd seemed to like it, I am not a fan and she sang some hits way too long with refrain, instrumental break, refrain, etc. Train mixed in covers and mashups, which was very cool. Pat Monahan is one of the best performers out there and still has that crazy vocal range. Live Nation staff on hand were so helpful and friendly. Parking was easy. When you have less than half of the normal attendees, everything works better for the fan. lol There's only a few bands where I would brave the 110 heat (hotter on the floor).
